1966 federal legislation requiring that product packages and their labels provide consumers with accurate information as to the manufacturer and the quantity of the contents and that the labels help consumers make value comparisons between brands. Obacht: Diese Vorschriften gelten nur für Produkte mit der Zielgruppe „Verbraucher“. Der Act kann aber Anhaltspunkte bei der Produktgestaltung geben insoweit, als das was beim Verkauf an Verbraucher verlangt wird mehr ist als was beim Verkauf B2B verlangt wird. Er setzt also eine Obergrenze fest, so dass wenn man sich auch im B2B daran halten würde, allen Anforderungen auch im weitesten Umfange genüge getan ist. Link zum Gesetzestext.
